Its a good point.
Rugby players 'go in' as hard as they can, to make as big a hit as possible on their opponents.
They then are expected to show total respect in the next instant.
That is massive self-discipline and control.
Diametrically opposed to top level football

I refereed a game on Saturday and at the final whistle a player came over to shake my hand, he shook it and said " I thought you were terrible today ref "
So I said " you've just been beaten 10-4 so I'm not sure you had the best of games "
He was furious! " you can't talk to me like that you're supposed to be professional "
My reply was " I'm an amateur I get paid £30 to take abuse now here's a yellow card for your dissent "
Amateur footballers are idiots.

Oh diddums, the nasty ref gave some back to a precious professional footballer, be like rugby union where only the captain can speak to the re, love it the way a rugby ref basically talks to the players as if they are about 5 years old, in fact some footballers only have the IQ of a 5 year old.
